# Agent payments

> Let AI agents pay your BlankFX payment links with stablecoins, using the open x402 standard.

# Agent payments

Software agents now buy things: data, compute, API calls, services. BlankFX lets them pay the same payment links your human customers use, with no checkout page and no account.

Agent payments use [x402](https://www.x402.org), an open standard that turns an ordinary web request into a payment. The agent asks for your payment link, the link answers "payment required" with the price, the agent signs a payment from its own wallet, and the link answers "paid".

> [!WARNING]
>
> Agent payments are in sandbox. They run on **Sepolia (testnet)** with test tokens and no real money. Ethereum (mainnet) is not available yet.

## How it works for you as a merchant

1. You switch on **Agent payments** in your BlankFX settings. It is off until you do.
2. You create a payment link as usual, then copy its **Agent link** (Payments → Status) and give it to your agent.
3. The agent pays that link. The money goes **directly from the agent's wallet to your payout wallet**. BlankFX never holds it.
4. The payment is marked paid, your webhook fires as usual (`payment_link.paid`), and Payment Status shows it as an **Agent** payment.

Your payout wallet stays in your own custody. BlankFX only pays the network fee to submit the transaction and records the result.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Agent payments are not a marketplace and do not make your links discoverable. An agent can only pay a link you give it. The Agent link is the address the agent calls; it is different from the page link people open.

## What the agent pays

The agent pays the invoice amount **plus the normal BlankFX transfer fee, on top**. You receive the full invoice amount. This is the same fee a person pays on a payment link, and there is no extra "agent fee".

## Safety and review

* **Same compliance as people.** An agent's wallet goes through the same access checks and daily limits as a human payer. A suspended or unverified-over-limit wallet is refused before any money moves.
* **One invoice, one payment.** An invoice is reserved while a payment settles, so it cannot be paid twice, edited or cancelled mid-payment.
* **You see who paid.** The paying wallet address is shown to you in Payment Status. It is never shown to anyone else.
* **Kill switch.** BlankFX can switch agent payments off platform-wide at any time. New agent payments stop immediately.
* **Suspicious cases go to review.** If a payment cannot be matched with certainty, the invoice is held for manual review rather than being credited automatically.

## For the developer building the agent
