Broker & Market-Maker Onboarding
To trade on BlankFX — providing RFQ liquidity or trading over the API — your firm goes through a one-time onboarding review. This page is the complete list of what we need; send it all in one package and we’ll come back with anything missing rather than drip-feeding requests. This is standard institutional-crypto onboarding (KYB), sized for a firm our stage can actually turn around quickly, not a bank’s compliance program.Technical integration (the endpoints you expose, how firm quotes are signed and how settlement works) is in RFQ for market makers. How pricing, oracles and pools work is in How the exchange works.
How much we ask depends on how you settle. Most BlankFX flows settle on-chain and atomically — where that’s true, our exposure to your firm is small and the checklist stays light. Delayed-settlement or credit-bearing flows carry real counterparty exposure, which is why the financial section below only applies to those.
What to send
Corporate (KYB)
Regulatory & compliance
Financial — delayed-settlement / credit-bearing flows only
- Atomic settlement
- Delayed settlement
If you only trade atomically-settled flows, skip this section entirely — we set a conservative default exposure cap instead.
Operational & technical
Agreements
What we don’t ask for: bank references, notarized/apostilled documents (plain copies + a video call if we have identity doubts), proof-of-reserves of your firm, exclusivity, or volume minimums to get onboarded.
What happens after you submit
1
Submit your package
Send everything above in one email, noting whether you expect atomic or delayed-settlement flows.
2
Independent verification
Registry lookup of your entity, sanctions/adverse-media screening, on-chain history of your settlement wallets, and a license check against the relevant regulator’s public register.
3
Test trade
A small supervised test trade before we raise your limits.
4
Decision
Roughly 1–2 weeks from a complete package; longer for firms needing enhanced review.
After you’re onboarded
- Tell us before settling from a new wallet — unannounced addresses are rejected, not investigated after the fact.
- Notify us promptly of: a change of control or beneficial owners, loss of a relevant license, regulatory action against you, a key compromise, or insolvency events.
- We re-screen registry and sanctions status annually, and do a full refresh every couple of years.
